Born in Japan in 1968, The Tiger Man (also known as Tiger Man or Tiger Mask) is an internationally famous manga written and drawn by Ikki Kajiwara and Naoki Tsuji.

Despite the incredible success of both the manga and the anime, there are differences between the two mediums, at least in intent, more than in the narrative. The manga, as often happens in these cases, is also much more realistic in representing the world of wrestling and wrestling in general. The tones are more noir and the settings more dark and intimate. The anime, while focusing a lot on the depth of its protagonist, tends much more to spectacularization, to acrobatics, giving it a more “colorful” tone, so to speak.
